About

We listen, act, and transform

Dr. Shannon Wynn, PT, DPT has always been passionate about the health and wellness industry. She played women's basketball at Neosho County Community College, where she desired to become an athletic trainer. However, a full ride basketball scholarship to a school that didn't have an athletic training program was too good to pass up, leading Shannon to graduate with a Marketing degree. During her business career, Shannon obtained work experience in marketing, finance and economics, working in industries such as HVAC, minor league sports (Quad City Mallards), national governing bodies for sport (U.S. Figure Skating), and office products. With this business experience, Shannon was able to transfer and work in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for about 18 months. It was this experience that led to Shannon's love for travel and experiencing new cultures, as well as her desire to change careers. After 15 years in business, during which she also obtained a Masters in Business Administration, Shannon decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Shannon was accepted into the University of Southern California's DPT Inaugural Hybrid program in 2018. Dr. Wynn excelled in the program and received multiple awards upon graduation, including the honor of delivering her class's commencement speech. She has a passion for learning and growing as a physical therapist, which led Dr. Wynn to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2025. Also in 2025, Shannon became a Fascia Stretch Therapy Level I practitioner, educated by the Stretch to Win Institute in Arizona. In addition to being a 2024 Ironman Canada finisher, completing a variety of other triathlon distances, completing many half marathons, playing in basketball and volleyball leagues, Dr. Wynn has had her fair share of injuries. She had ACL and meniscus repair surgery, a meniscectomy surgery, a broken hand that required surgery for external fixation (yes, the pins that stick out of the body), along with numerous ankle sprains and many body aches and pains. Needless to say...she knows how you feel and how injuries can affect athletic pursuits, both physically and mentally.  It is this combination of experience, both personal and professional, that allows her to really connect with her patients. Dr. Wynn is inquisitive about her patients, not just their physical wellbeing, but who they are as people. She values creating a safe environment for patient's to express any and all concerns, without judgement, so that their overall health and wellbeing is addressed. This whole person approach is what has led patients to refer their children, spouses, parents and coworkers to Shannon for treatment. This has contributed to Dr. Wynn gaining experience treating all types of pain, athletic injuries and balance/vestibular disorders. Looking to change your physical wellbeing?
